- Immersive Storytelling: Engage with an evolving narrative that delves into the lives of Fort Lyonhall's citizens, their struggles, and their triumphs. This isn’t just a “dinner show” or a “walk-through experience” - when you travel beyond the gates, you become a part of the story and cast. Your choices and actions will forever alter the story of Fort Lyonhall and Beyond the Gates.
- Authentic Performances: Be captivated by skilled actors bringing to life the characters and their stories. Our cast and crew has spent countless hours building a magical world for you to play in, and they can’t wait to introduce these characters and people to you. Will you work with or against the plans of the Citizens of Draile? Will you keep their secrets, or share them to the world? The choice is yours.
- Interactive Elements: Participate in activities and make choices that influence the direction of the story. Vote in major story elements, weave yourself into the history of the world of Miscuri, discover hidden secrets and endless lore, and heighten your experience with the expanded use of BTG Tech!
- Community Engagement: Connect with fellow attendees and share in the excitement of this immersive experience. Join our community Discord server, form officially recognized Clans with your fellow World Walkers, and be a part of a community like no other.
- Merchant's Market: Explore a marketplace filled with unique goods, artisan crafts, and delicious food and drink options. Experience the amazing work of local vendors, and support budding artists and small business owners from around the Wasatch Front.
Important Details
- Arrival and Parking: Please plan to arrive early to secure parking and make your way to the event grounds by 5:30 PM. There are two main lots at the event venue: the lower paved lot, and the upper dirt lot. Please reserve the lower lot for those who need additional accessibility accommodations. There is also additional street parking near the Quail Cove Pavilion.
- Accessibility: The American Fork Amphitheater has limited accessibility features due to the nature and historical aspects of the venue. However, Beyond the Gates staff strive to make our events as welcoming and accessible as possible for all of our patrons. Ways we are hoping to address previous accessibility issues for the 2025 Season include:
Increasing Character Actor Count: By increasing the number of actors, we hope to limit lines and barriers to game flow and progression.
Expanding The Game Area: This year we will be moving more of the game area into the large southern field in an effort to help minimize the limitations of the stone building design and maximize accessibility.
Rotating Character Schedules: We have tweaked our game formula to allow for “roaming characters”, as well as giving our actors the ability and opportunities to leave any designated “stations” while still maintaining actor and staff safety. With this change, we hope to be able to continue to follow our company mission of “meeting our guests where they are at”, albeit in a bit of a literal sense. With this change, we aim to remove the barrier of being unable to interact with a character due to physical venue limitations, while also fostering the atmosphere of a “living town”.
